Athene is going to try to play one million hands in the month of
December. In order to break the world record and set a new one, he will
have to play between 14 and 16 hours a day simultaneously on 24 tables.
He is going to play all one million hands at
Pokerstars, trying to win one of the 30 announced Pokerstar
Sponsporships. In his video he talks about the still running Boku87 challenge.
In
this challenge, Boku has one year to make $100,000 beginning with only
$5 in starting capital. Athene commends the idea, however he has
already completed this challenge this year (his first as an online
poker player). Athene received a lot of attention, when he tried to win
the WCOOP at Pokerstars and failed miserably.
